Discover the stunning Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) with our Atv tours! You’ll depart from the city of Cusco by bus, heading towards the district of Cusipata, where you’ll enjoy a delicious Peruvian breakfast. From there, your journey continues to the small village of Kayrahuiri, where your four-wheel adventure begins.
If hiking isn’t your thing, this is the perfect option for you, as the quad bikes will take you within just a five-minute walk of the breathtaking Rainbow Mountain.

Cusco to Cusipata by vehicle: approximately 3 hours. Cusipata is a small town located at 3,310 m.a.s.l. (10,859 ft).
- You will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast with 100% Peruvian food.
- If you are vegetarian, don’t worry! The buffet line always includes vegetarian options.
- Breakfast is included for the first two schedules.
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will continue the journey on both paved and compact dirt roads for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes until we reach the small community of Kayrahuiri.
Before you begin riding your quad bikes, our expert guide will provide a 25-minute training session on proper handling techniques to ensure your safety.
After the training, you’ll start riding for approximately 30 minutes along a compact dirt road, taking in the scenic views as you head closer to the Rainbow Mountain.
Once you reach the designated endpoint for the quad bikes, you’ll only need to walk about 5 minutes to arrive at the stunning Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain).
Your guide will provide a super-informative explanation about this natural wonder, sharing fascinating details about its formation and cultural significance.
Afterward, you’ll have free time to take stunning photographs of this breathtaking Andean landscape. You’ll also have the chance to see and even interact with llamas and alpacas, making your experience even more memorable.
After a 5 to 10-minute walk, you’ll hop back on your quad bikes and continue enjoying the breathtaking Andean landscape. This return journey on the quad bikes lasts approximately 30 minutes until you reach the bus station.
The return journey will take between 45 minutes and 1 hour by bus, along the same road you took on the way to the mountain.
The lunch will be a buffet-style line, allowing you to serve yourself according to your preference. There will be options such as chicken, beef, pasta, vegetables, fruits, and more. If you’re vegetarian, don’t worry, as we always include options for vegetarians.
This tour ends next to the Plaza de Armas between 15:00 and 20:30, depending on your departure time from Cusco. If you book a private tour, we will drop you off at your hotel.

- The maximum weight allowed per person is 100 kg.
- The total number of riders per ATV is 2. The maximum combined weight is 130 kg.

Pick-ups and timings:
Group tours:
- All pick up times and tour ending times are approximate
- We will pick you up as long as you are in the historic center; otherwise, we will coordinate another meeting place
- If your hotel doesn’t have a car access, the streets are one-way only or there is a lot of car traffic, then you will walk some blocks to get in the bus
- We may not pick you up for some tours due to schedules, festivals and strikes
- When being picked up, we will call for your name, lastname and tour destination; otherwise, don’t get on the bus
- We will coordinate all pick-up time details one day prior your tour
Private tours:
- Your pick up time is sharp on time
- We will do our best to pick you up from your hotel regardless your hotel location
- We will coordinate all pick-up time details one day prior your tour
- Your tour ending time is still aproximate; however, we will do our best to end the tour on the scheduled time
Meal:
- The tourism infrastructure for this tourist destination is basic.
- Both breakfast and lunch are basic, not many options, not many restaurants.

Seats — group tours:
- You book a seat in the bus — you don’t necessarily book a specific number of seat
- If you are picked up first from your hotel, then you can can choose some seats
- Your pickup time will depend on your hotel location
- Travel partners or couples seat together to 95%; however, we don’t warranty this will happen to 100%

Modern ATVs (Honda TRX 250 brand).
Road type:
- Much of the road is paved track.
- The last part of the road is a dirt road (compacted earth) with bumps, therefore:
- Dust comes in through the windows
- The vehicle ride is sometimes bumpy
Operability and itinerary:
This tour is subject to variation without any prior notice, due to weather conditions, strikes and any other event that doesn’t allow the normal tour operation.
Cancellations
The cancellation is free as long as you do it 48 hours in advance; otherwise, a fee of 100% of the tour cost will apply.
