ATV tour: The Abode of the Gods in Cusco: Discover today the most popular contemporary attraction in the Cusco region – this place is called La Morada de los Dioses or ‘Apukunaq Tianan’ in the Quechua language. We offer daily quad bike tours to this destination.
The abode of the Gods was carved in stone by Michel de Titán Monteagudo Mejía, a highly renowned Cusqueño artist, it’s located just 8 kilometers from Cusco city. At the Abode of the Gods, you will encounter various sculptures representing the Pachamama (the mother earth), Puma, Sun, Condor, Moon, and much more.
Itineray
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco’s historic centre at 07:00. For the other schedules at 09:00, 11:00, 13:00, or 15:00, please meet us at our designated meeting point in Regocijo Square (by the fountain).

Then, we will transfer you in a tourist vehicle to Sencca via Tica Tica, approximately 30 minutes from Cusco City.
At the quad bike base in Sencca, you will have a safety briefing lasting 5 to 10 minutes. During this time, you will receive safety instructions, including proper handling of the quad bikes, prohibited manoeuvres, and the use of protective equipment.
After the briefing, you will have a short practice session with the quad bikes for approximately 10 minutes.
After the preparation, the quad bike ride to the Morada de los Dioses begins on an unpaved road. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes until you reach the Morada de los Dioses.
The Abode of the Gods (Apukunaq Tianan in Quechua) is famous for its stone carvings, which depict Inca deities such as the puma and Pachamama (Mother Earth). There are also sculptures representing Andean and Amazonian human figures.
In 2022, an “energy tunnel” was built beneath the rock, which has now become the most popular attraction.
After the guided visit, you will return to the base in Sencca. This route will also be covered by quad bike for about 20 minutes. Upon arrival at the base, you will board the tourist vehicle to return to the city of Cusco.
This tour ends near the Plaza de Armas at approximately 09:00, 11:00, 13:00, or 17:00, depending on your chosen start time. If you book this tour as a private service, we will drop you off at your hotel.

- The maximum weight allowed per person is 100 kg.
- The total number of riders per ATV is 2. The maximum combined weight is 150 kg.

Pick-ups and timings:
Group tours:
- All pick up times and tour ending times are approximate
- We will pick you up as long as you are in the historic center; otherwise, we will coordinate another meeting place
- For the afternoon schedule, we normally don’t pick custumers from their hotels because there is a lot of traffic, we will coordinate a meeting point.
- If your hotel doesn’t have a car access, the streets are one-way only or there is a lot of car traffic, then you will walk some blocks to get in the bus
- We may not pick you up for some tours due to schedules, festivals and strikes
- When being picked up, we will call for your name, lastname and tour destination; otherwise, don’t get on the bus
- We will coordinate all pick-up time details one day prior your tour
Private tours:
- Your pick up time is sharp on time
- We will do our best to pick you up from your hotel regardless your hotel location
- We will coordinate all pick-up time details one day prior your tour
- Your tour ending time is still aproximate; however, we will do our best to end the tour on the scheduled time
Vehicle type and seats:
Vehicle type — group tours and private tours:
- We implement vehicles authorized by the Ministry of Transportation of Peru
- The type and size of vehicle will always depend on the group size
- We implement modern vehicles with air conditioning: H1, Van, Renault and Sprinter
Seats — group tours:
- You book a seat in the bus — you don’t necessarily book a specific number of seat
- If you are picked up first from your hotel, then you can can choose some seats
- Your pickup time will depend on your hotel location
- Travel partners or couples seat together to 95%; however, we don’t warranty this will happen to 100%

Modern ATVs (Honda TRX 250 brand).
Road type:
- Much of the road is paved track.
- The last part of the road is a dirt road (compacted earth) with bumps, therefore:
- Dust comes in through the windows
- The vehicle ride is sometimes bumpy
Guide-orientator:

- Your guide will be your companion, always staying behind the group to ensure everyone reaches their destination safely.
- There won’t be extensive explanations about the attractions to visit, as this product is primarily focused on the quad biking activity”

Operability and itinerary:
This tour is subject to variation without any prior notice, due to weather conditions, strikes and any other event that doesn’t allow the normal tour operation.
Cancellations
The cancellation is free as long as you do it 48 hours in advance; otherwise, a fee of 100% of the tour cost will apply.
Insurance and Liability: For all adventure activities, a liability agreement must be signed by the tourist before the activity begins, on the day of the tour. This activity does not include travel, accident, or health insurance.
